Montefarmaco Pumilene Cough Syrup is a medical device with a triple action that calms dry and productive coughs, relieves burning, and promotes the elimination of secretions, protecting the airways.

Indications

A medical device that, thanks to an exclusive combination of polysaccharides contained in plant extracts and the MUCOBARRYL complex, is able to calm coughs, relieve burning, and promote the elimination of excess secretions. Pumilene Cough TRIPLE ACTION calms dry and productive coughs, and is also a useful adjuvant for the protection of the respiratory tract as, by creating a mucoadhesive barrier, it limits contact with irritants and pathogenic microorganisms.

Formulated with plant extracts useful for protecting the mucosa, calming coughs and having a pro-expectorant action.

The plant-based polysaccharides contained in the plant extracts and in the MUCOBARRYL complex, thanks to their mucoadhesiveness, create a protective film that prevents pathogenic microorganisms from adhere to the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and protect them from harmful environmental stimuli.

Thanks to their affinity for water, polysaccharides promote hydration of the mucous membranes and thinize the mucus.

Furthermore, the soothing action of the extracts calms dry and productive coughs.

The honey contained in Pumilene Tosse TRIPLE ACTION gives the product a pleasant flavor.

Composition

MUCOBARRYL complex, plantain extract, grindelia extract, white thyme essential oil, water, apple juice, fructose, honey.

Gluten-free and lactose.

Directions for use and dosage

• Children 3 to 6 years old: 5 ml up to 2 times a day.
• Children 6 to 12 years old: 5 ml up to 4 times a day.
• Adults and children 12 years and older: 10 ml 2-4 times a day.

Shake well before use. Close tightly after use. Rinse the measuring cup after use. For children under 12 years of age, it is recommended to take the product under medical supervision.

Interactions

For the components of Pumilene Cough TRIPLE ACTION, at the recommended doses, the only known interaction is the modification of the pharmacokinetics of ibuprofen by larch arabinogalactans. In any case, it is advisable to space the intake of Pumilene Cough TRIPLE ACTION at least 2 hours from that of medications or food supplements.

Warnings

• Consult your doctor if you are taking pharmacological therapies.
• In children aged between 3 and 6 years, use the product only under the advice and strict supervision of your doctor.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• In case of hiatal hernia, consult your doctor before taking the product.
• Cough and sore throat may be a symptom of an infection: if the symptoms persist for more than 7 days treatment or if you have a fever, consult a doctor.
• In any case, do not take the product for more than 15 days, unless otherwise indicated by your doctor.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not use the product if the package is damaged.

Contraindications

• Do not use in case of individual allergy/hypersensitivity to the components of Pumilene Cough TRIPLE ACTION.
• Do not use in case of known allergy to bees.
• Do not use in case of under 3 years of age.
• Do not use in case of esophageal obstructions.
• Do not take in case of product intolerance.
• Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components: contains honey, plantain dry extract, grindelia dry extract, white thyme essential oil, Iceland moss, and larch arabinogalactans.

Side effects

At the doses necessary to achieve a therapeutic effect, the appearance of side effects has never been reported. The only exception may be, in rare cases, mild transient swelling due to intestinal fermentation of polysaccharides.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is recommended to take the product only after medical advice.
