The Farmacare Peak Flow Meter is a precise, pocket-sized device for home monitoring of the maximum speed of air exhalation from the lungs, useful for asthma patients and for the objective assessment of respiratory function.
Peak Flow Meter
Measures the maximum speed at which a person is able to exhale air from the lungs. Home monitoring of the product by asthma patients, like a "thermometer," allows them to monitor any variations in this parameter, thus providing the doctor and the patient with important information on the progress of their respiratory diseases and the effectiveness of medications. The sudden drop in PEFR allows for the detection of bronchospasm before the onset of a full-blown crisis. Pocket-sized, economical, precise, and easy to use, the meter provides the patient and physician with an objective assessment of respiratory function.
