TRANSPARENT DRESSING WITH PAD Indications Absorbent, sterile, ready-to-use dressing indicated for the treatment of clean, closed surgical wounds, donor sites for skin grafts, lacerations, abrasions and burns, small incisions or excisions, partial or full-depth wounds, lightly to moderately exuding wounds, and protection for intravenous catheterization sites.
Dosage and Directions for Use Before applying, allow the previously applied disinfectant to dry and ensure the skin is completely dry. Open the package and remove the sterile dressing. Remove the printed paper liner, exposing the adhesive surface. Holding the two ends of the frame, position the dressing on the application site so that the pad completely covers the wound. Adhere the dressing by applying light pressure to the transparent backing. Remove the paper frame from the dressing and press the edges firmly together. To remove, gently lift the edges and pull them outward.
Features The dressing is made of a polyurethane backing that is permeable to water vapor and impermeable to liquids and microorganisms. The central pad is made of rayon fibers coated on both sides with a thin, porous polyethylene film. This film prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, allowing for atraumatic removal. Its composition also ensures high osmotic absorption of excess secretions. The transparency of the backing allows absorption to be monitored without removing the dressing. The adhesive on the backing is acrylate-based, hypoallergenic, and provides excellent adhesion. The nature of the adhesive and the composition of the central pad allow the dressing to be removed without leaving residue and causing trauma to the skin and wound. The frame application system allows for easy application, without waste.
Sterility The dressing is sterilized using gamma rays in an industrial process validated according to current technical standards. The sterility of the individual packaging is guaranteed provided it is intact, i.e., has not been opened or damaged.
Storage The product must be stored at room temperature between 15° and 30° C, away from extreme humidity, dust, pollutants, etc. The shelf life is three years from the date of manufacture, provided the product is stored correctly in its original packaging. The expiration date is stamped and clearly visible on each sales package and individual pouch.
