Skin solution for dermatoses.
Paf 50% bisbutylcarboethylene skin solution is useful in the treatment of parasitic dermatoses and in particular those caused by Sarcoptes scabiei (S. hominis).
100 g of solution contain:
Active ingredient: bisbutylcarboethylene 50 g For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.
Excipients:Chlorobutanol (5 g) Polysorbate 80 (45 g).
The product must be administered exclusively by cutaneous route (on the skin). Pour the contents of the bottle into approximately 150 grams of water and stir for a few minutes with a spoon to obtain a smooth, milky liquid. Dilute the product exclusively in glass containers; avoid using plastic (spoon and container). Using a cotton ball soaked in the prepared liquid, thoroughly wet the entire body (except the head) with light rubbing, paying particular attention to the most affected areas. Allow the skin to air dry naturally. Use approximately half of the prepared liquid for the application; the remaining half is reserved for the second application, to be done 12 hours later, following the same instructions and making sure to shake the liquid well before use. It can also be used on children's skin. It allows treatment even without bathing as the preparation works equally and leaves no traces on the skin and/or clothing.
The detection of a parasitic infestation in one member of a family or community may lead to suspicion of infestation in other members; in such conditions, treatment of all members of the group may be indicated. PAF must be diluted in glass containers; avoid contact with plastic materials (container or spoon for stirring the solution). The product must not be ingested, inhaled, or brought into contact with mucous membranes, nor inoculated. Patients must scrupulously change their underwear, bed linen, and the clothes worn in the days preceding treatment.
For more information, read the package leaflet carefully.
