Product Description

Anesthetic ointment.

Indications

Ortodermina is an ointment useful as:

• Anesthetic of the accessible mucous membranes of the oropharyngeal cavity
• anal and rectal itching.
• Anesthetic in case of minor skin lesions.

Composition

 Active Ingredients: Lidocaine Hydrochloride.

Directions for use and Dosage

• Apply the cream to the affected area appropriately; If the skin shows lacerations, it is advisable to spread the cream using a sterile gauze pad.
• In dentistry, when anesthetizing the oral mucosa, dry it with a cotton ball and a saliva ejector to minimize dilution of the cream and promote maximum absorption of the Lidocaine.
• When fitting new dentures, spread the cream on the surface in contact with the mucosa (Important: the settling-in period).

Daily application should not exceed 35 g of cream.

Warnings

The ointment should be used with caution by those subjects with particularly traumatized mucosa and sepsis in the area intended for application of the cream. In any case, safety of use depends on the dosage, a correct application technique and the adoption of precautionary measures. The product should be used at the lowest effective dose, reducing the dose appropriately based on age and physical condition in children, the elderly, and acutely ill patients.
