Medical device for ankle sprains.

Indications

Ortho Airform is useful for severe or moderate ankle sprains.

• Lateral stabilization of the ankle joint.
• Ankle brace with symmetrical and invertible valves equipped with elastomer terminals for adaptation to the malleoli and insertion into the shoe.
• Pre-inflated pneumatic padding that adapts to the ankle.
• Pressure regulation through a small tube.
• Adjustable heel.
• Velcro closure.

Composition

Shell: 100% polypropylene.
Straps: 100% polyamide.
Inflatable insert 100% polypropylene + vinyl.

How to use

1. To adjust the distance between the two valves, at heel level, use the side straps.
2. Position the valves on both sides of the ankle, so that the malleoli are covered.
3. Tighten the lower strap.
4. Place the foot on which the ankle brace is worn into a comfortable and stable shoe.
5. Lace up the shoe.
6. Tighten the upper strap.

If the straps become loose, you will need to Retighten them.
If you experience localized pain, loosen the straps and reposition the valves.
The air cushions are already pressurized so they do not require further adjustment. However, the tube provided will allow you to inflate or deflate them as needed.

Precautions for use: Once the ankle brace is worn, it is not recommended to walk on it without wearing shoes.
Do not continue using the product without consulting your doctor. Use skin protection in case of dermatological lesions, allergies, or hypersensitivity to the textile components of the product.

Warnings

The use of the ankle brace is not recommended while driving.
Although it is removable, in the initial phase, it is advisable to wear the ankle brace both day and night.
The reduction or complete disappearance of pain does not mean that the ankle brace should be removed without prior medical advice.
Store in a dry place, away from excessive heat and light.
The use of this product for indications other than those listed requires the authorization of a doctor.
