Indications
The Rigid Night Orthosis helps relieve joint pain at the base of the thumb and helps limit the progression of rhizarthrosis. It keeps the thumb in a resting position by opening the commissure between the index finger and thumb. The alignment of the bones limits stress on the trapeziometacarpal joint and helps relieve pain. Made to measure as it is thermoformable.
Composition
53% thermoformable plastic, 47% polyamide/elastane.
Directions for use and Dosage
The rigid orthosis becomes soft once immersed in hot water. From the moment you put it on, it will take the shape of your hand, positioning it naturally with the thumb at rest. It hardens and returns to rigidity in a few minutes. Follow the thermoforming instructions provided.
The orthosis can be thermoformed more times if necessary.
Slide your hand into the orthosis by sliding your thumb into the designated section.
Insert the hook-and-loop strap into the buckle at the base of the thumb and tighten the orthosis slightly around your wrist.
Machine wash at 40°C.
Do not use stain removers such as acetone or solvents.
Allow to dry naturally.
Do not iron.
Do not expose to heat (>50°C).
Warnings
In case of adverse reaction, stop using the device immediately and inform Millet Innovation. Do not apply to unprotected lesions. In case of severe swelling: monitor your hand during use. Remove the device if the fastening is too tight and impedes blood circulation. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Do not use near flames or incandescent objects.
