Antihistamine drug

Indications

Mistick antihistamine is indicated for the local symptomatic treatment of insect bites and other localized skin irritation phenomena such as redness, burning, itching and sunburn.

Composition

Active ingredients

promethazine hydrochloride 2.255 g equivalent to promethazine 2.0 g Excipient with known effect: parahydroxybenzoates For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Excipients

white beeswax, liquid paraffin, stearic acid, glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, triethanolamine, purified water.

How to use and Dosage

Apply the cream 2–3 times a day to the affected area. Avoid application to very large areas, greater than 10% of the body surface. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Warnings

Prolonged and inappropriate use of the medicine may give rise to allergic sensitization phenomena with consequent worsening of the symptoms. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. Since the application of Mistick antihistamine can delay the healing process, the medicine should not be used for more than 3–4 consecutive days on lesions in which this phenomenon is in progress. In the case of sunburn, apply the medicine and avoid further exposure of the irritated skin to the sun. If skin rash, irritation or burning occurs, treatment should be discontinued.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnant women, the medicine should be used only if strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
