Dermatological Cream

Composition:

MICOXOLAMINA 1% CREAM 100 g of cream contain: active ingredient Ciclopiroxolamine 1 g.

Excipients

Ethylene glycol and polyoxyethylene glycol palmitoyl stearic acid, glycerides of saturated polyoxyethylene fatty acids, vaseline oil, benzoic acid, butylhydroxyanisole, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Skin mycoses caused by sensitive fungi.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.

Dosage

The cream is particularly suitable for hairless surfaces and limited extensions. Apply 2 or 3 times a day, depending on the severity of the condition, on the lesions and the immediately surrounding areas, with a light massage. Repeat the treatment until the lesions disappear (generally 1–2 weeks). To prevent recurrences, it is advisable to continue the treatment for a further 1–2 weeks. In the treatment of onychomycosis, an occlusive dressing is recommended.

Warnings and precautions

The product should not be used in ophthalmic conditions. Ciclopiroxolamine should be used with caution and under the direct supervision of a doctor: in case of concomitant systemic antifungal treatment, in subjects with a history of immunosuppression, in patients with a compromised immune system, such as transplant recipients and those with HIV infection, in diabetic subjects. The use, especially if prolonged, of topical drugs can cause serious side effects. give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, it is necessary to suspend treatment and institute appropriate therapeutic measures. During treatment, the hygiene measures recommended by the doctor must be strictly observed.

Itching, burning, or skin irritation may occasionally occur, usually transient.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnant women, during breastfeeding, and in early childhood, the medicine should be used only in cases of real need, under the direct supervision of a doctor.
