Features

The Mepilex dressing absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment.

The Safetac layer seals the wound edges, preventing exudate from leaking onto the periwound skin, thus minimising the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer also allows the dressing to be changed without damaging the wound or the periwound skin and without causing further pain to the patient.

The dressing is made up of:

• a wound contact layer made of soft silicone (Safetac);
• a flexible absorbent polyurethane foam layer;
• a breathable but waterproof outer film.
