Mepilex Lite is a thin, conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment, thanks to the Safetac layer that ensures atraumatic dressing changes.

Indications

CE Medical Device. Thin, highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac layer adheres to the wound edges, preventing exudate from leaking onto the periwound skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer ensures atraumatic dressing changes. Mepilex Lite can be cut to fit wounds of various shapes and locations. The dressing consists of:

• a wound contact layer made of soft silicone (Safetac)
• a thin absorbent pad made of polyurethane foam
• a breathable but waterproof outer film.

It is particularly suitable for use under elastic compression bandages.

Directions for use and dosage

Clean the wound according to normal procedures. Dry the periwound area thoroughly. Remove the protective films and apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not pull the dressing during application. For best results, Mepilex Lite should cover at least 2 cm of healthy skin around the wound. Trim the product if necessary. If necessary, secure Mepilex Lite with a bandage or other system.

Mepilex Lite can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding area and in accordance with the healthcare professional's instructions. Changes in wound care often result in increased exudate levels. Monitor the wound condition carefully and increase the frequency of changes.

Warnings

In case of infection, consult a doctor. Do not use the product if the package is damaged. Sterility is guaranteed only when the package is intact. Disposable product. Do not resterilize.

Contraindications

Do not use Mepilex Lite if you are using substances containing oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide) solutions.

Storage

Store below 35°C in a dry place. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
