Four-layer absorbent polyurethane foam dressing.

Indications

Multi-layer absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with a border, a soft Safetac silicone contact layer, and a slotted structure with Flex Technology.

1) Highly breathable and liquid-impermeable polyurethane outer film. Provides a barrier to bacteria. The new dotted grid on the outer film allows exudate distribution to be tracked without removing the dressing.

2) Non-woven distribution layer slotted using Flex Technology. It distributes exudate evenly over the entire surface to maximize fluid management capacity.

3) Open-cell polyurethane absorbent foam layer for vertical absorption. It instantly absorbs exudate and prevents its return, for protection of the periwound skin even under elastic compression.

4) Safetac soft silicone wound contact layer. The soft silicone technology, Safetac applied to Mölnlycke dressings, minimizes pain for patients and trauma to the wound even in critical situations, or when the exudate begins to dry:

• it adapts to the irregular surface of the skin to create a larger contact area, which allows for better distribution of the force required for removal, preventing skin stripping;
• it leaves no residue either on the wound bed or on the wound surface. on healthy skin;
• seals the wound edges, preventing exudate from spreading to the periwound skin, minimising the risk of maceration;
• does not adhere to moist surfaces, such as open wounds, but to the dry edges of the wound.

Mepilex Border Flex Lite is suitable for the management of a wide range of non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds, such as:

• pressure ulcers;
• leg ulcers;
• post-operative wounds;
• traumatic wounds, such as abrasions, blisters and skin tears;
