Product Description

Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a multilayered absorbent dressing with Safetac and Flex technology, ideal for the management of non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds and for skin protection.

Indications

Multilayered, four-layered absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with a border, a soft Safetac silicone contact layer, and a slotted structure with Flex Technology.

• Highly breathable, liquid-impermeable polyurethane outer film. Provides a barrier to bacteria. The new dotted grid on the outer film allows you to track exudate distribution without removing the dressing.
• Non-woven distribution layer slitted using Flex Technology. It distributes exudate evenly across the entire surface to maximize fluid management capacity.
• Open-cell polyurethane absorbent foam layer for vertical absorption. It instantly absorbs exudate and prevents its return, protecting the periwound skin even under elastic compression.
• Wound contact layer made of Safetac soft silicone. The soft silicone technology, Safetac applied to Mölnlycke dressings, minimizes patient pain and wound trauma even in critical situations, or when exudate begins to dry:
  • it adapts to the irregular surface of the skin to create a larger contact area, which allows for better distribution of the force required for removal, preventing skin stripping;
  • it leaves no residue either on the wound bed or on healthy skin;
  • it seals the wound edges, preventing exudate from spreading to the periwound skin, minimizing the risk of maceration;
  • it does not adhere to moist surfaces, such as open wounds, but to the dry edges of the wound.

Mepilex Border Flex Lite is Suitable for the management of a wide range of non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds, such as:

• pressure ulcers;
• lower limb ulcers;
• post-operative wounds;
• traumatic wounds, such as abrasions, blisters, and skin tears;
• can also be used to protect damaged and/or delicate skin.

Warnings

If the treated area becomes sensitive or shows clinical signs of infection, consult a healthcare professional for appropriate treatment to combat the infection.

In case of infected wounds, use under medical supervision is recommended.

The polyurethane foam used in the product may change color, turning yellow when exposed to light, air, and/or heat. The color change does not affect the properties of the product if used within the expiration date.

Do not reuse. Reusing the product may cause serious health problems. This may compromise its effectiveness and cause cross-contamination.

Storage

Store in a dry place at a temperature below 35°C (95°F), away from extreme humidity, dust, pollutants, etc.
