Med's Farmactive Sterile Paraffin Gauze is a non-traumatic, non-adhesive, loose-weave cotton gauze, indicated for the treatment of first- and second-degree burns and burns, acute (wounds, cuts, abrasions) and chronic wounds, and donor sites.
Med's Farmactive Sterile Paraffin Gauze does not adhere to the wound and is ideal for the treatment of first- and second-degree burns, acute (wounds, cuts, abrasions), and chronic wounds. Indicated for the treatment of first- and second-degree burns and scalds, acute (wounds, cuts, abrasions) and chronic injuries, and donor sites. It reduces the risk of crusting and protects newly formed tissue thanks to its low-adhesion, which allows for atraumatic dressing changes.
Directions for use
Clean the wound thoroughly. Apply the dressing and secure with a gauze bandage or other secondary dressing. Change the dressing on average every 2-3 days, depending on the condition of the wound. If the gauze is dry and adhered to the wound, irrigate with saline or equivalent solution before removing it.
Warnings
Store the device in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat sources. Do not use if the packaging is damaged. Reseal the package after use; once opened, the product is no longer sterile. Keep out of reach of children.
