Lorenil 200 mg vaginal soft capsules

Composition:

Each soft capsule contains: fenticonazole nitrate 200 mg. Excipients (200 mg vaginal soft capsules): saturated fatty acid triglycerides; colloidal anhydrous silica. Shell constituents: gelatin; glycerol; titanium dioxide; sodium ethyl hydroxybenzoate; sodium propyl hydroxybenzoate.

Therapeutic indications

Candidiasis of the genital mucosa (vulvovaginitis, colpitis, infectious fluoride).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.

Dosage of vaginal soft capsules:

One 200 mg vaginal soft capsule in the evening before bedtime for 3 days or as directed by your doctor. If symptoms persist, a second dose may be repeated after three days. The soft capsules should be inserted deeply into the vagina up to the level of the fornices.

Warnings and Precautions

Use of topical products, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization. Upon intravaginal insertion, a mild burning sensation may be felt, which disappears quickly.

Side Effects

Lorenil is generally well tolerated by mucous membranes; Only exceptionally have mild and transient erythematous reactions been reported. In case of hypersensitivity reactions or the development of resistant microorganisms, treatment should be discontinued. Lorenil, under the recommended conditions of use, is only poorly absorbed, so systemic repercussions can be ruled out. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Although the drug is poorly absorbed, the use of Lorenil during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended except in special cases and after a careful evaluation of the benefit/risk balance by the physician.
