Indications

Lontax Plus is a nasal spray that can be used as a support for the prophylaxis and treatment of parainfluenza syndromes caused by viruses and can also be used preventively to provide prolonged hydration to the nasal mucous membranes.

• It can reduce the duration of parainfluenza syndromes and mitigate the severity of cold symptoms.
• It can reduce the onset of new infections and flare-ups of viral cold symptoms.

Can be used by adults and children from 1 year of age.
A sterile filter guarantees the sterility of the solution even after repeated use.

Features

Low humidity and air pollution can dry out the nasal mucosa.
However, the nose can only perform its filtering function if the mucosa is sufficiently hydrated.
Lontax Plus forms a protective hydrating film on the nasal mucosa.
This liquid film constitutes a physical barrier against external agents.
Prolonged hydration can protect against colds and influenza-like syndromes caused by cold viruses.
The nose is the most common route of infection. Common for viruses responsible for colds and parainfluenza syndromes.
Parainfluenza syndromes are caused by viruses, including rhinoviruses and coronaviruses.
When viruses enter the nose, they can colonize the mucosa and infect its cells, multiplying and spreading.
This causes the typical cold symptoms, such as a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat and/or headache, cough, etc.
In the initial stages of the disease, it is often not possible to distinguish with certainty between a cold and the flu.

Lontax Plus contains Carragelose, a substance of marine origin, obtained from red algae with a dual positive effect:

• It forms a protective barrier against cold viruses.
  Colds and parainfluenza syndromes Parainfluenza viruses are caused by a wide variety of viruses, including rhinoviruses and coronaviruses.
  Carrageenan binds nonspecifically to cold viruses and prevents them from adhering to the mucosa, thus reducing the multiplication and spread of viruses that infect the respiratory tract.
• It forms a protective, moisturizing film.
  Thanks to the action of Carrageenan, the film lasts longer. long-lasting on the nasal mucosa and acts as a physical barrier against external agents.
  The film, ensuring the physiological hydration of the mucous membranes, helps the body's natural defenses to repel cold viruses.

Composition

1 ml of solution contains:
1.2 mg of iota-carrageenan (Carragelose), 0.4 mg of kappa-carrageenan, sodium chloride and purified water.
Free from Gluten, Lactose and Preservatives.

Directions for use and Dosage

At the first symptoms of a flu-like infection (e.g. sore throat, itchy or runny nose, etc.), spray at least 3 times a day in each nostril.
Start treatment as soon as possible after the first flu-like symptoms appear and continue until the symptoms have stopped.
If a fever develops or there is no improvement after 1 week of treatment, consult a doctor.
To moisturize the dry nasal mucosa, apply the spray into the nose several times a day according to individual needs.

• Remove the protective cap and, if necessary, actuate the pump a few times until a uniform mist is obtained.
  Lontax Plus is now ready for use.
• To avoid injury, carefully insert the nozzle into each nostril.
  Keep the bottle upright during application.
• After use, replace the protective cap on the nozzle.

Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components.
To date, no side effects are known, except for very rare cases of hypersensitivity.
There are no known interactions.
No studies on interactions with other products have been conducted.

Carrageenan is not absorbed by the cells of the nasal mucosa.
