Characteristics

Candidiasis of the genital mucosa (vulvovaginitis, colpitis, infectious fluoride). Lomexin T is also indicated for vaginal trichomoniasis and vaginal infections caused in mixed form by Trichomonas vaginalis and Candida albicans.

Ingredients

100 ml of solution contain: Active ingredient fenticonazole nitrate 200 mg.

Directions for use

1-2 times a day for 7 days as an adjuvant therapy to other formulations for the prevention of recurrences.

Excipients

100 ml of solution contains 10 g of propylene glycol, 0.01 g of benzalkonium chloride, 5 g of alkylamidobetaine solution, and 100 ml of purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the product's components.

Warnings

When applying to the lesion or during intravaginal introduction, a slight burning sensation may occur, which disappears quickly. Use of topical products, especially if prolonged, may give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy.

Undesirable effects

Lomexin is generally well tolerated, both on the skin and mucous membranes; only exceptionally have mild and transient erythematous reactions or a burning sensation been reported, which usually disappears quickly. In case of hypersensitivity reactions or the development of resistant microorganisms, treatment should be discontinued. Lomexin is only poorly absorbed under the recommended conditions of use, so systemic repercussions can be ruled out.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Although the percutaneous and vaginal absorption of fenticonazole is rather low, it is recommended not to use the preparation during pregnancy.
