Warnings and precautions
Mucolytics can induce bronchial obstruction in children under 2 years of age. In fact, the drainage capacity of bronchial mucus is limited in this age group, due to the physiological characteristics of the airways. They should therefore not be used in children under 2 years of age.
Lisomucil children's syrup with sugar contains sucrose in quantities equal to 140 g per 200 ml bottle; this should be taken into account in cases of diabetes or a low-calorie diet. The daily dosage of 3 teaspoons per day (equal to 15 ml of syrup) provides 10.5 g of sucrose, while the dosage of 2 teaspoons per day (equal to 10 ml of syrup) provides 7 g of sucrose. Interactions
