Mucolytic and fluidifying syrup with sugar useful in case of cough and catarrh.
1 ml of syrup contains: Active ingredient: carbocisteine 50 mg. Excipients with known effects: Syrup with sugar: sucrose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, aromatic elixir (ethanol 82%), sodium hydroxide. Syrup without sugar: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium hydroxide. For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

LISOMUCIL cough mucolytic sugar-free syrup: glycerol, hydroxyethylcellulose, sodium saccharin, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, caramel powder, flavoring, sodium hydroxide, purified water.
Symptomatic treatment of respiratory tract conditions accompanied by cough and catarrh.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1. Gastroduodenal ulcer. Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The use of LISOMUCIL cough mucolytic 750 mg/15 ml syrup is reserved for adults. The recommended dosage is as follows: 1 measuring spoon or 1 tablespoon (15 ml of product equal to 750 mg of carbocisteine) 3 times a day with an interval of 8 hours between each dose. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
LISOMUCIL cough mucolytic syrup with sugar: store below 25°C. LISOMUCIL cough mucolytic syrup without sugar: this medicine does not require any storage conditions.
Caution is recommended in elderly patients, in those with a history of gastroduodenal ulcers, or in those taking drugs known to cause gastrointestinal bleeding. Patients should discontinue treatment with carbocisteine in the event of gastrointestinal bleeding. LISOMUCIL cough mucolytic syrup with sugar contains sucrose (6 g per 15 ml dose of syrup): this should be taken into consideration in case of diabetes or low-calorie diets. Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, or sucrase-isomerase deficiency should not take this medicine. The aromatic elixir excipient in Lisomucil cough mucolytic syrup with sugar contains ethyl alcohol in a quantity equal to 200 mg per 15 ml dose (one measuring cup or spoon). The medicine may be dangerous for patients suffering from alcoholism. Take this medicine into consideration in case of pregnancy and breastfeeding, liver disease, or epilepsy. For those who participate in sports, the use of medicines containing ethyl alcohol may cause a positive result in anti-doping tests in relation to the blood alcohol concentration limits indicated by some sports federations. LISOMUCIL mucolytic cough syrup contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (even delayed). If you are on a low-sodium diet, please note that the recommended dose of 15 ml of syrup contains approximately 100 mg of sodium.
Symptoms of overdose include: headache, nausea, diarrhea, and gastralgia. Induce vomiting and, if necessary, perform gastric lavage.
The product is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
