Characteristics

Ligasano Med white. Post-operative dressing: depending on the wound, Ligasano is used in a thickness of 0.5 to 2 cm, and is cut to cover the wound by 3-4 cm beyond the edges. It is fixed with light pressure to adapt to any irregularities in the wound and to ensure contact with it. The secretions produced are absorbed by Ligasano, thus avoiding secondary infections. The dressing should be changed no later than when the secretion appears visible on the surface of the dressing.

• Treatment of ulcers: the ulcer is padded with Ligasano and then covered with a further layer of Ligasano so as to go beyond the edges by 3-4 cm. Then proceed as for postoperative dressings. This produces a mechanical effect, synchronized with body movement, which acts on the wound by stimulating the emission of secretions, the absorption of germs, and accelerated granulation.
• Treatment of crural ulcers: the Ligasano sheet is applied depending on the ulcer's configuration, always extending 3-4 cm beyond the edges of the lesion. On venous ulcers, a strong elastic bandage is applied, starting from the metatarsal. This both intensifies the mechanical effect of Ligasano and improves venous reflux. In arterial ulcers, however, this additional bandage must absolutely be avoided. In this case, Ligasano is fixed with modest compression, for example with strips of plaster or a gauze bandage. Ligasano bandages are also very suitable for this purpose, as they do not shift even if the bandage is loose. loose, and which also stimulate blood flow throughout the leg;
• Treatment of extensive lesions (burns - abrasions): this type of lesion is treated with Ligasano mainly for the mechanical debridement it exerts on the supporting parts of the body.
