Indications

The practical Wellion Leonardo blood glucose test strips are used with Wellion Leonardo meters to measure blood glucose levels in fresh capillary blood. Wellion Leonardo meters are ideal for home use and healthcare professionals.

Directions for use

• Remove a Wellion Leonardo blood glucose test stick from the packaging and close it immediately. Insert the test stick into the meter to start it. The display shows the "Glu" symbol, the flashing blood drop symbol, and the test strip symbol.
• Press the blood sampler (with a new lancet) against the side of your fingertip and press the release button to prick and obtain a drop of blood.
• Now hold the tip of the test stick at a slight angle to the blood sample. The test stick automatically draws blood, like a straw. The meter beeps to let you know when enough blood has been obtained. The display shows a countdown, and after 5 seconds, the result appears on the display.

Warnings

• Do not use expired test strips. Check the expiration date printed on the can and packaging.
• Close the test strip container immediately after removing a test strip to protect the remaining test strips from moisture.
• Use test strips immediately after removing them from the container.
• Do not use wet or damaged test strips.
• Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Store test strips in a cool, dry place (not in the bathroom).
• Write the opening date on the container label. Discard any remaining test strips 12 months after opening.
• Discard the used test strip and lancet immediately after testing.
• A Wellion blood glucose stick is a high-tech product. The test strip is made up of several layers in which electrodes are used in a complex process, while a biological substrate—glucose oxidase—is applied to the reaction zone using a precise procedure. Glucose oxidase is an enzyme that reacts very specifically with blood glucose. This reaction produces an electrical signal that is converted by the meter into a corresponding blood sugar value displayed on the display.
