Product Description

Treatment for nail fungus

Indications

Lenirit ungueal is used for the treatment of fungal infections affecting up to a maximum of
2 nails and affecting the upper or lateral half of the nail.

Composition

Active substances

1 ml contains 55.74 mg of amorolfine hydrochloride (equivalent to 50 mg of amorolfine). For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Excipients

Ammonium methacrylate copolymer (type A) (Eudragit RL 100) Triacetin Butylacetate Ethyl acetate Ethanol, anhydrous.

Method of use and Posology

The nail lacquer should be applied to the affected finger or toe once a week.

Special populationsElderly There are no specific dosage recommendations for use in elderly patients.

Paediatric population Lenirit Unguale is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. as safety and efficacy data are not available.

Method of administration

Before Lenirit Unguale is applied for the first time, it is essential that the affected areas of the nail (and in particular the surfaces) are filed as thoroughly as possible using the nail file provided. The surface of the nail must then be cleansed and degreased using an alcohol swab.

Before reapplying Lenirit Unguale, refile the affected nails as required, after cleaning them with an alcohol swab to remove any residual nail polish. Caution:   Nail files used on infected nails must not be used on healthy nails.

Using one of the reusable spatulas provided, apply the nail polish to the entire surface of the affected nails. Allow the nail polish to dry for 3-5 minutes. After use, clean the spatula with the same swab previously used to clean your nails. Keep the bottle tightly closed. For each nail to be treated, dip the spatula into the polish, avoiding getting polish on the neck of the bottle. The length of treatment required depends essentially on the intensity of the infection and its location. Treatment typically lasts six months (fingernails) and nine to twelve months (toenails). It is recommended to check the treatment at approximately three-monthly intervals.

Warnings

For more information, read the package leaflet carefully.
