Lenirit is a gel for the treatment of superficial wounds, abrasions, grazes, and cracks. Indicated as an adjuvant in the skin regeneration process. Thanks to its formula with hyaluronic acid and microporous silver, forming a protective barrier, it promotes skin healing and protects wounds from irritants and the action of bacteria.
Rubbing lightly, spread the cream on the affected area in a thin layer, twice a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Lenirit should not be used in children under two years of age.
If conditions worsen or if symptoms persist for more than 7 days, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Avoid contact with eyes. Use of topical medications, especially if prolonged, may cause irritation or sensitization. In this case, discontinue treatment and initiate appropriate therapy. Prolonged use of this medicine may cause telangiectasia and skin atrophy. When used for a long time or on a large area of skin, hydrocortisone can be absorbed into the blood and exert systemic activity. This is more likely to occur when occlusive dressings are used; diapers can act as occlusive dressings. Systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids can cause reversible suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, potentially resulting in glucocorticosteroid insufficiency after discontinuation of treatment. Following systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids, some patients may also experience manifestations of Cushing's syndrome, glycosuria, and hyperglycemia during treatment. Patients applying a topical steroid to a large surface area or in areas under occlusive dressings should be monitored periodically for suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. When using the product near the eyes, take appropriate precautions, as penetration of the drug into the eyes may cause glaucoma or cataracts (see section 4.8). If this occurs, the cream residue should be rinsed with water. The cream contains ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). Paediatric population: Do not use in infants and children under 2 years of age (see section 4.3). Particular caution is recommended when using the medicine in children due to the risk of systemic exposure to hydrocortisone. Because the body surface area to body weight ratio in children is higher than that in adults, children are at greater risk of systemic corticosteroid effects, including hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression and Cushing's syndrome, than adults. Prolonged use of corticosteroids in children may cause growth and development disorders. The duration of treatment should be as short as possible, and the lowest dose should be used. The child's growth and development should be monitored (see section 4.4). Use in elderly patients: Elderly people may experience more pronounced adverse effects, especially in cases of comorbidities, such as osteoporosis, hypertension, hypokalaemia, diabetes mellitus, as well as increased susceptibility to infections and thinning of the skin. These patients should be carefully monitored to avoid the occurrence of life-threatening reactions. In case of subcutaneous atrophic conditions, especially in the elderly, the medicine should be used with caution. Use in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency. Special precautions should be taken in patients with liver disease or renal insufficiency, and frequent clinical monitoring of their health status is necessary.
