Product Description

Antipyretic drug for fever in newborns

Indications

Efferalgan infant suppositories is used in the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and feverish conditions in infants.

Composition

Active ingredients

Paracetamol

Excipients

Semisynthetic glycerides.

Directions for use and Dosage

For rectal use.

In children, dosage schedules based on body weight must be followed and consequently it is necessary to choose the appropriate formulation.The correlation between age and weight is only indicative.

Due to the risk of local toxicity, administration is not recommended suppositories should be administered more than 4 times a day and the duration of rectal treatment should be as short as possible.
Administration of suppositories is not recommended in case of diarrhea.

This formulation is reserved for infants weighing between 4 kg and 7 kg (approximately 1 to 6 months of age).

The dosage is one 80 mg suppository, to be repeated, if necessary, after an interval of at least 6 hours, without exceeding 3 suppositories per day for infants weighing less than 5 kg and 4 suppositories per day for infants weighing 5 kg or more.
