Lasonil antidolore 10% - anti-inflammatory gel 120 g

Product Description

Gel useful for relieving pain in cases of bruises, sprains, myalgia, muscle strains, and stiff neck.

Indications

Lasonil Antidolore is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works to relieve pain and reduce symptoms related to inflammation. It is a topical, anti-inflammatory and analgesic gel based on 10% lysine salt ibuprofen indicated for the local treatment of painful conditions in cases of:

•     tendinitis;
•     sprains;
•     joint pain;
•     muscle pain;
•     contractures; sprains;
•     strains;
•     lumbago;
•     lumbago.

Dosage and Directions for Use

Lasonil Pain Relief Gel should be applied 2 to 4 times a day to the area to be treated. A thin layer of product should be spread on the painful area with a light massage. After application, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent product residue from coming into contact with your eyes and mouth.

Composition

Lasonil Antidolore Gel 10% contains:

Active ingredient: ibuprofen lysine salt 10 g
Excipients: Sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium ethyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Warnings

Lasonil Antidolore should not be used in case of hypersensitivity or allergy to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients. Even if acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have caused asthma, rhinitis, urticaria or other allergic reactions, this drug should not be used.
It should not be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
It should not be used on children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
If you are taking other NSAIDs, you should not use Lasonil Antidolore Gel.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

During pregnancy and during breastfeeding, the use of Lasonil Antidolore is contraindicated because this drug inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins: this can negatively affect the pregnancy and/or embryo/fetal development. Results of epidemiological studies suggest an increased risk of miscarriage and cardiac malformation and gastroschisis after the use of a prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor in the early stages of pregnancy. The absolute risk of cardiac malformations increased from less than 1% to approximately 1.5%. The risk was believed to increase with dose and duration of therapy. In animals, administration of prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors has been shown to result in increased pre- and post-implantation loss and embryo/fetal mortality. Furthermore, an increased incidence of various malformations, including cardiovascular, has been reported in animals administered prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors during the organogenetic period.
During the third trimester of pregnancy, all prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors may expose:

the fetus to cardiopulmonary toxicity (with premature closure of the ductus arteriosus and pulmonary hypertension), renal dysfunction, which may progress to renal failure with oligo-hydroamniosis;
the mother and the newborn, at the end of pregnancy, to possible prolongation of bleeding time, and antiaggregant effect which may occur even at very low doses and inhibition of uterine contractions resulting in delayed or prolonged labor.

Special warnings

If the skin is damaged or if there are open wounds, the application of the drug should be avoided.
The use of Lasonil Antidolore is not recommended for women trying to conceive, those with fertility problems, or those undergoing fertility tests, as is any drug that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins and cyclooxygenase.
If you use Lasonil Antidolore for a prolonged period of time, local sensitization phenomena such as skin rash or mucosal lesions may occur. To avoid this, this drug should be used for short periods and, both during treatment and for two weeks following application, the patient should not expose himself to direct sunlight, including solariums.
Do not use Lasonil Antidolore together with another NSAID or, in any case, do not use more than one NSAID at a time.
If you take anticoagulant drugs, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Lasonil Antidolore.
Expiry and Storage

See the expiry date on the package. No special precautions are required for the storage of the product. The expiration date refers to the product in its intact packaging. Caution: Do not use the medicine after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
