Indications

Lacristar is an ophthalmic solution with high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate, obtained through biotechnological synthesis. Sodium hyaluronate has excellent lubricating properties and provides a hydrating and stabilizing effect on the tear film. The lubricating, moisturizing, and protective qualities of sodium hyaluronate relieve irritation, dryness, burning, and foreign body sensation due to environmental factors (wind, sun, smoke, dry air), visual stress (excessive light and prolonged computer use), or mechanical factors (contact lens wear, post-ocular surgery), providing long-lasting relief.

Composition

Pharma-grade sodium hyaluronate (0.4% w/v), sodium chloride, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, water for injections.

Directions for use and Dosage

Warnings

• The product is for external ophthalmic use only;
• Do not use if the container is damaged;
• Do not use in case of sensitivity to one of the components;
• Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the container;
• Do not touch the eye with the tip of the bottle;
• After administration, in rare cases, a slight temporary blurring of vision may be observed due to the viscosity of the solution; It is therefore advisable to wait for the blurring to disappear before undertaking any activity that requires clarity of vision;
• Wait at least 10-15 minutes before administering any other ophthalmic medication.
• Use within 90 days of first opening the bottle;
• Close the bottle carefully after each use, ensuring that the tip is free of any residual drops; if present, shake them away with a firm movement of the wrist;
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children;
• Do not ingest;
• To prevent the bottle from collapsing on itself, do not administer more than 10 drops. of 30 consecutive drops.
