Hypotonic ophthalmic solution useful for both the treatment and prevention of irritated, red, and tired eyes.
Indications
Lacrimalfa thanks to the hydrating and humectant properties of glycerol and the presence of essential ions such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium, Lacrimalfa restores the physiological conditions of the tear film and provides immediate soothing relief from burning sensations immediately after instillation.
Lacrimalfa is Suitable for both eye fatigue and redness due to external factors such as adverse weather and environmental conditions, contact lens use, work at computer terminals, and prolonged reading, as well as to soothe symptoms such as burning, gritty eyes, and dryness in mild to moderate dry eye conditions. Lacrimalfa contains no preservatives and can be used by contact lens wearers, even when they are already in.
The solution can also be applied to the lens itself, allowing it to be hydrated for easier application or removal, contributing to a feeling of comfort throughout the day.
Directions for use
Detach a single vial from the strip. To open the bottle, remove the top flap by twisting it, taking care to place it on a clean surface so it can be reused to close the bottle. Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of each eye, letting them fall from the top. Reclose the bottle by inserting the flap immediately after application.
Lacrimalfa should be dosed individually according to your condition and based on the recommendations of your eye doctor. In general, instill 1-2 drops of the solution into the conjunctival sac of each eye as needed, even several times a day. For use on contact lenses: instill one drop in each lens at the time of insertion or removal. Repeat if necessary, even several times a day.
Warnings
For external use only. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity. to one or more components. Lacrimalfa should not be used immediately before administering medications for therapeutic purposes, and within ten minutes of applying any topical drug therapy. To reduce the risk of contamination during use, it is advisable to open the aluminum pouch only if the product will be used immediately thereafter. Each vial should be used by only one person. Avoid allowing the tip of the vial to come into direct contact with fingers, the eye, contact lenses, or any other surface.
In rare cases, intolerance (burning sensation and/or irritation) may occur, but this is inconsequential and does not require modification of treatment. However, it is advisable to contact your eye doctor if symptoms persist. Following the instructions in the package leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package. The expiration date refers to the intact and correctly stored product. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C. Each container is resealable, allowing for repeated administration of the solution. However, since it is preservative-free, it must be used within 24 hours of first opening.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 24 months.
