Indications

Kelo-cote® treatment for hypertrophic and keloid scars, recent or old, resulting from surgery, trauma, wounds, and burns. Kelo-cote® is suitable for use on children and people with sensitive skin.
It dries quickly, forming a gas-permeable, flexible, and waterproof film.
It adheres to the stratum corneum (the most superficial layer of the skin), forming a protective barrier that prevents the attack of external agents (chemical, physical, and microbial) and ensures hydration.
This creates a favorable environment that maintains an adequate level of moisture. and oxygenation that supports normal collagen synthesis cycles and improves the physiological and cosmetic appearance of the scar itself.
It can reduce, fade, and smooth scars, relieve redness and itching, and reduce discoloration associated with scars.

How to use Instructions for Use and Dosage

Make sure the affected area is clean and dry.
Apply a thin layer of Kelo-cote® to the affected area and let it dry.
Apply Kelo-cote® twice daily.
For optimal results, Kelo-cote® Gel should remain in contact with the skin for 24 hours.
Once dry, Kelo-cote® can be combined with compression garments, full-protection sunscreens, or cosmetics.
If Kelo-cote® has not dried within 4-5 minutes, it means that too much product has been applied. Remove the excess product and let it dry.
The minimum recommended treatment duration is 12 hours. 60 - 90 days. Existing and large scars may require prolonged treatment. Continued use of the product is recommended if improvement is visible even after the first 90 days of treatment.
Drying: The drying process of Kelo-cote® is favored by the temperature difference between the gel and the skin.
To reduce drying time in hot climates, store Kelo-cote® in the refrigerator.
In cold climates, use a hair dryer on low speed to reduce drying time.

Warnings

Avoid direct contact with eyes, mucous membranes, third-degree burns, and open wounds.
Do not use Kelo-cote® in the presence of dermatological conditions that alter the integrity of the skin. Skin irritation.
May stain clothing if not completely dry.
For external use only.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
