No Gravid has a Y-shaped plastic support, an anatomical shape, which follows the geometry of the uterus. This feature allows the device to direct the contraceptive action of the copper towards the bottom of the uterine cavity, and towards the tubal ostia: that is, the points of greatest interest for intrauterine contraception.
The structure of No Gravid is made of nylon, a highly resistant and highly elastic material, which guarantees both permanence in the cavity and adaptability to the walls of the cavity itself.
The availability of five different sizes means that No Gravid can be used by all women of childbearing age, unless there are specific contraindications. A saddle uterus or bicornuate uterus do not constitute a contraindication to the use of No Gravid.
The extraction thread used by No Gravid is surgical, therefore non-porous.
Warnings
It must be applied by a surgeon.
It is advisable to remove No Gravid after three years of use, as the contraceptive efficacy may decrease; however, it is mandatory to remove No Gravid within five years from the date of application.
