Indications

Hydromed gel is an amorphous, viscous, sterile and transparent gel, consisting of > 70% water, calcium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose.

Applied to the wound, it rehydrates necrotic tissue by delicately removing it, facilitates autolytic “debridement” and absorbs excess exudate from the wound.

The gel recreates a moist environment on the surface of the wound, preventing the formation of eschar and accelerating the migration of epithelial cells.

Hydromed gel is non-adherent and can be easily removed. be removed by irrigation with saline solution, without damaging the fragile newly formed tissue or causing trauma to the patient.

Hydromed gel is used for the autolytic cleansing of skin lesions, such as pressure ulcers and ulcers of the lower limbs, cavity wounds, and skin graft sites, for the treatment of lesions with necrotic and fibrinous tissue.

It can be used in first and second degree burns.

Hydromed gel is latex-free.
