Ticks are parasites that feed on the blood of humans and animals. While sucking blood, ticks can transmit dangerous diseases, as some are carriers of pathogens. Unfortunately, the number of infected ticks has increased dramatically in recent years. To minimize the risk of contracting a disease, ticks should be removed as quickly as possible, without breaking any part of their rostrum, without crushing their body, and without causing their death before removal. The use of chemical repellents can minimize the risk of tick bites, but they do not guarantee complete protection. It is made of polyacetate. This polymer makes the product robust; it is resistant to alcohol, ether, solvents, and other substances commonly used on ticks. It is non-toxic, completely recyclable, and can be incinerated without emitting chlorine fumes (dispose of according to current regulations).

Directions for use

• Choose the size of the 'Tick Remover' that best suits your needs. Appropriately adjusted based on the size of the tick to be removed.
• Place the hook on the side of the tick until it is firmly in place.
• Lift the tick slightly and twist the hook until it detaches naturally.

During removal, it is essential not to compress the tick's body to reduce the risk of saliva reflux, which can lead to infections and/or allergies. The shape of this product was designed by veterinarians taking into account the morphology of the tick. The tick's rostrum is made up of several spurs opposite to the direction of perforation of the skin; this allows the tick to be more firmly anchored in the skin. If you try to remove the tick by pulling on it, these spurs become even more firmly embedded in the skin, increasing the risk of parts of the tick remaining inside the skin and causing infections. Conversely, with a rotating motion, the spurs align with the axis of rotation, making tick removal easy and safe and reducing the risk of rostrum breakage. The product, with the O'Tom rotating system, is the only tool that allows the user to grasp the tick without squeezing it, removing it with a rotating motion. This is the best and safest technique for completely removing ticks.
