Product Description

Medical device indicated in cases of traumatic injuries to the muscles, ligaments or joint capsule and hyperextension due to neurological or genetic diseases.

Indications

G2 Genukeep R.O.M. by Ekeep is a medical device indicated in conditions that may benefit from immobilization or control of the ROM of the knee such as:

• Traumatic injuries to the muscles, ligaments or joint capsule;
• Hyperextension due to neurological or genetic diseases (e.g. Ehlers - Danlos syndrome).

Details

• Brace equipped with two lateral splints with a dynamic spring system to prevent knee hyperextension;
• Polycentric ROM adjustable in flexion (0, 10, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110) and extension (0, 30, 50, 70, 90, 110);
• Three-panel padded structure, comfortable and breathable to protect the leg and thigh;
• Adjustable upper and lower closing straps;
• Removable condylar pads.

How to use and Dosage

1. Unfasten the straps and open the brace completely;
2. Detach the pads, the wider pads refer to the thigh, the narrower ones refer to the tight to the leg;
3. Wrap the padding relating to the thigh and those relating to the leg, if necessary use the quadrangular padding to completely wrap the limb;
4. Apply the splints laterally using the Velcro fasteners so that they are parallel to the limb and the ROM centered on the axis of rotation of the knee, the larger perforated plate should be positioned in correspondence with the thigh, the smaller one on the leg;
5. Close the brace using the straps starting from the smaller ones close to the knee, applying adequate traction to prevent slipping.

ROM setting instructions

1. Open the safety cover;
2. Set the required flexion/extension by acting on the brace splints;
3. Lock the brace in flexion/extension using the pins inserted into the appropriate holes;
4. Close the safety cover (click);
5. Repeat the same operations for the other ROM.

Warnings

Store in a dry place away from excessive heat and light. Do not prolong use of the product without medical advice. The product has been designed for use by a single person; do not use it on multiple people. The product should not be used in direct contact with damaged skin. Do not use in case of allergies or hypersensitivity to the product's components. If you experience any problems using the product, such as pain or obvious local signs, remove it and contact a healthcare professional. In the event of a serious incident following use of the product, contact the manufacturer and your local healthcare professional. It is advisable to have the product fitted by a qualified professional for the first time and perform subsequent fittings independently using the same methods.

Washing instructions

Hand wash in warm water with neutral soap or detergent, rinse well, wring gently, and let dry flat. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, and do not dry clean.
