Indications

Fluifort syrup single-dose is a drug based on carbocisteine ​​lysine salt, which acts as a mucolytic and fluidifying agent in acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

Composition

Each single-dose sachet of Fluifort mucolytic syrup contains: carbocisteine ​​lysine salt monohydrate equal to 2.7 g of carbocisteine ​​lysine salt.

Excipients: Sorbitol (70% solution); xylitol; ammonium glycyrrhizinate; sodium carmellose; glycerol; cherry flavoring; methyl parahydroxybenzoate; propyl parahydroxybenzoate; Purified water.
Dosage and Directions for Use

The practical single-dose format makes administering Fluifort syrup in sachets extremely simple. 1 sachet of syrup can be taken per day.
Open the sachet following the dotted line and swallow the contents. The recommended dosage can also be maintained in patients with renal and hepatic insufficiency.

Warnings and Precautions

There are no known phenomena of habituation or dependence. The medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate, known to possibly cause urticaria. In general, parahydroxybenzoates can cause delayed reactions, such as contact dermatitis, and rarely immediate reactions with urticaria and bronchospasm. The medicine contains sorbitol; patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take this medicine. Fluifort 2.7 g/10 ml syrup does not affect low-calorie or controlled diets and can also be administered to diabetic patients. Fluifort 2.7 g/10 ml syrup does not contain aspartame; therefore, it can be administered to patients with phenylketonuria. Fluifort 2.7 g/10 ml syrup does not contain gluten; therefore, it can be administered to patients with celiac disease.
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°.
Interactions

In controlled clinical studies, no interactions have been observed with the most common drugs used in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract conditions, nor with foods or laboratory tests.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Although the active ingredient is neither teratogenic nor mutagenic and has not shown negative effects on reproductive function in animals, Fluifort should not be administered during pregnancy. Since there are no data available on the passage of carbocisteine ​​lysine salt monohydrate into breast milk, use during breastfeeding is contraindicated.
Undesirable effects

Undesirable effects that may occur with Fluifort, classified by system organ class (SOC), are the following:

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: rash, urticaria, erythema, exanthema, bullous exanthema/erythema, pruritus, angioedema, dermatitis.
Gastrointestinal disorders: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders: dyspnea.
Vascular disorders: flushing.
