Symptoms of Venous Insufficiency; 30 Modified Release Capsules

Composition

One capsule contains: Active ingredient: dry extract of horse chestnut seeds 300 mg equivalent to triterpene glycosides 50 mg.

Excipients

Dextrin, Copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone, vinylacetate 60:40, Triethyl citrate, Ammonium methacrylate copolymer type A, Ammonium methacrylate copolymer type B, Talc, Gelatin, Purified water, Titanium dioxide E 171, Red iron oxide E 172, Yellow iron oxide E 172, Black iron oxide E 172, Yellow quinoline E 104, Indigo carmine E 132.

Therapeutic indications

Symptoms attributable to venous insufficiency; capillary fragility.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Dosage

1 capsule twice a day (morning and evening) before meals, unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor. The capsules should be swallowed with an adequate amount of liquid. It may take 4 weeks of treatment before the effects of taking the drug appear; use for periods lasting longer than 4 weeks must be done on the advice of your doctor.

Warnings and precautions

If you notice that symptoms persist or worsen during treatment, consult your doctor. If there is no appreciable improvement within four weeks of starting treatment, consult your doctor. In case of skin inflammation, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, subcutaneous hardening, ulcers, rapid swelling of both legs, kidney or heart failure, a doctor should be consulted.

Interactions

No interactions with other medicines are known to date.

Side effects

Itching, nausea, and gastrointestinal disturbances have been reported. If gastrointestinal disturbances occur, it is recommended to take the medicine during meals. Isolated cases of allergic reactions have been observed.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Do not take during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
