Alginate [total alginate content 3.5% (g/g)], macrogol, hydroxypropylcellulose, enzyme system (glucose oxidase, lactoperoxidase, glucose, guaiacol), potassium sorbate, potassium iodide, buffer, purified water Ph. Eur.

Directions for use

1. Before applying Flaminal, it is recommended to clean the wound and surrounding area;
2. Apply Flaminal®, covering the entire wound bed with a sufficiently thick layer (for example, 4-5 mm);
3. Cover Flaminal® with the appropriate secondary dressing based on exudate levels;
4. Check the dressing every day.

At each dressing change/wound cleaning:

• clean the wound and surrounding area thoroughly;
• remove all whitish alginate flakes from the wound, leaving only those at the wound edge. The scales prevent the wound edge from weakening and maceration (softening and breakdown of the skin due to prolonged exposure to moisture). Maceration slows the wound healing process.

Warnings

Do not use Flaminal (hydro or forte) if you have a known allergic reaction to any of the ingredients.
For external use only.
When treating a patient for the first time for wounds that may reach the level of bones and joints or with exposed bones and joints, the patient should be observed for at least 30 minutes after administering Flaminal (Hydro or Forte).
Some wounds may require additional treatment. Consult a doctor or wound specialist.
Flaminal (Hydro and Forte) can be used on infected wounds only under medical supervision.
The gel has a slight odor caused by the alginates. This odor does not affect the healing process. In case of a sudden and distinct odor, consult a doctor or wound specialist.
Flaminal (Hydro and Forte) cannot be used on the eyelids or in the eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with running water and consult a doctor.
Do not use the product if you notice that it is damaged or has been opened accidentally before use.

Storage

Store at room temperature (below 25°C) in a dry place and in the original packaging.
Shelf life: 24 months.
Shelf life after opening: 12 months.
