Ointment

Fibrase Ointment is used in the prophylaxis and treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis; varicose veins and varicose ulcers; post-thrombotic and post-traumatic edema; hematomas, contusions, sprains, bursitis, tendovaginitis, chilblains, hemorrhoids.

Dosage and Directions for Use
Fibrase Ointment should be taken in the following doses and directions: apply the ointment to the skin of the affected area several times a day and spread it lightly in a thin layer without rubbing. Depending on the extent of the process, squeeze 2 - 5 cm of ointment from the tube.

It is not necessary to bandage because the ointment is absorbed by the skin in a few minutes. In case of ulcers, spread the ointment for 3-4 cm around the edges.

Contraindications

• Manifest haemorrhages or haemorrhagic diathesis.
• Haemophilia.
• Immediate abortion, habitual abortion, suspicion of placenta previa, risk of placental rupture.
• Active gastroduodenal ulcer.
• Cerebrovascular accidents.
• Subacute bacterial endocarditis.
• Previous manifestations of thrombocytopenia with heparin.
• Known individual hypersensitivity to the product and to heparin.

Special warnings
Due to its low molecular weight, Fibrase ointment does not give rise to anaphylactic reactions and, for Due to the absence of a vasodilatory component, it has no rubefacient effect. Due to its negligible anticoagulant power and the absence of diffusing enzymes, Fibrase ointment does not delay the healing of skin ulcers, does not promote the formation of edema, and has no prophylactic effect. Products for topical application, especially if used for prolonged periods of time, may give rise to hypersensitivity reactions. In this case, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
In case of confirmed or suspected pregnancy and during breastfeeding, administer only if clearly necessary and under the direct supervision of a doctor.

Composition
Fibrase Ointment contains:
Active ingredient: Pentosan polysulfoester (SP 54) 1.5 g
Excipients: Decyl oleate, glyceryl monostearate, mixture of cetylstearyl alcohol and non-ionic emulsifiers, potassium sorbate, propylene glycol, mixture of p-hydroxybenzoates, 70% non-crystallizing sorbitol, mixture of antioxidants (BHA - BHT ascorbyl palmitate), 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol, purified water.
