Composition

100 ml of Fertomicidina contain: Active Ingredients: salicylic acid 1.75 g Sodium iodide 3 g Excipients: dibasic magnesium phosphate 2.10 g Ammonium bromide 3 g Distilled water to taste. 100 ml.

Therapeutic indications

Disinfection and cleansing of damaged skin.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components. Regular use is contraindicated in patients with thyroid disorders.

Dosage

Apply a small amount of product to the area to be treated by dabbing, compresses, or washing. If necessary, repeat the operation 2–3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Warnings and Precautions

The product is for topical use only. Do not use in combination with other substances. Use of topical products, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization; in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. Any stains on fabrics can be removed by washing with plain water; avoid the use of soap. Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the package. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor. Avoid use on excessively large surfaces. Do not apply under occlusive dressing. Avoid contact with eyes. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use only if strictly necessary and under the direct supervision of a doctor.

Interactions

Avoid use simultaneously with any other product, especially ointments and gels. Do not use under gutta-percha or other waterproof substances. Do not use mercury salts or benzoin compounds simultaneously on the treated area.

Side effects

In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, but this is inconsequential and does not require modification of treatment. The reaction of iodine with damaged tissue can delay healing. Application to burns or extensive abrasions can produce systemic effects of iodine. It may cause irritation. interfere with thyroid function tests.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Use only if clearly needed and under direct medical supervision. Since iodine is absorbed systemically, especially when dealing with extensive ulcers, it is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding; absorbed iodine can cross the placental barrier and be excreted in milk.
