Indications
Fenazil is a cream for temporary use in the case of insect bites and other localized skin irritations, such as redness, burning and itching.
Components
Active ingredient: Promethazine hydrochloride 2.00 g. Excipients with known effects: Methyl parahydroxybenzoate.
Excipients:Fenazil 2% cream Glycerol, polyethylene glycol ester of fatty acids, stearic acid, lavender scented essence, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.
How to use and Dosage
Apply a light layer of Fenazil cream to the affected area, massaging until completely absorbed. Repeat the application 3–4 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Warnings
The medicine is for external use only. Do not use for prolonged treatments. Prolonged and inappropriate use of the medicine may give rise to allergic sensitization phenomena, with consequent worsening of the symptoms. If this occurs, treatment must be suspended in order to establish appropriate therapy. Since the application of Fenazil can delay the healing process, it should not be used for more than 3–4 consecutive days on lesions in which this phenomenon is in progress. In the case of sunburn, do not expose the area to the sun after application. If skin rashes, irritation, or burning sensations occur, treatment should be discontinued. Fenazil cream: Apply the cream carefully and in a thin layer when the skin has very extensive abrasions to avoid systemic absorption of the medicine. Applying too much cream to very large areas of skin may cause absorption of the drug and, in particularly sensitive patients, drowsiness.
