ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:

ECOSTERIL 1% dermatological cream. 100 g contain: econazole nitrate 1g ECOSTERIL 50 mg ovules. Each ovule contains: econazole nitrate 50 mg ECOSTERIL 150 mg ovules. Each ovule contains: econazole nitrate 150 mg

EXCIPIENTS:

ECOSTERIL 1% dermatological cream: polyglycolic acid ester of fatty acids propylene glycol methyl p-hydroxybenzoate propyl p-hydroxybenzoate hypoallergenic perfume purified water ECOSTERIL 50 mg ovules: triglycerides of hydrogenated fatty acids. ECOSTERIL 150 mg ovules: hydrogenated fatty acid triglycerides.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS:

Skin mycoses caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds. Skin infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria. Onychomycosis. Vulvovaginal mycoses (pure or mixed). Mycotic balanitis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to one or more components or other closely related substances from a chemical point of view.

DOSAGE:

Skin infections: apply the cream 1-2 times a day (morning and/or evening) for at least 10 days. Cleanse the infected areas while still wet before applying the cream. Onychomycosis: Apply the cream 1-2 times a day (morning and/or evening) and cover with an occlusive dressing. Vulvo-vaginal infections: 50 mg ovules: 1 ovule, every evening before going to bed, for no less than 15 days. 150 mg ovules: 1 ovule, every evening before going to bed, for 3 consecutive evenings. Make sure to insert the ovule deep into the vagina. Treatment must continue even after subjective complaints (itching, leukorrhea) have disappeared. Mycotic balanitis: When treating a partner (mycotic balanitis), carefully wash the glans penis and foreskin before applying the cream, every evening, for a period of no less than 15 days.

STORAGE:

Do not store above 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

WARNINGS:

Use with caution on skin areas with eczematous characteristics. The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products may give rise to sensitization phenomena. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and institute appropriate therapy.

INTERACTIONS:

Avoid concomitant use with miconazole.

SIDE EFFECTS:

Econazole is generally well tolerated even by sensitive skin. In very rare cases, local irritation may occur in eczematous areas: in such situations, precede therapy with an anti-eczematous treatment. After gynecological use, burning, itching, and pelvic cramps may appear in hypersensitive subjects, but these require suspension of treatment in only 0.4% of cases.

OVERDOSE:

There are no known symptoms related to overdose of the drug.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING:

So far, no embryotoxic or teratogenic effects have been observed. However, the drug should be administered only in case of real need and under the direct supervision of a doctor.
