Product Description

Cream for the treatment of skin mycoses caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds, also accompanied by infections caused by gram-positive bacteria.

Indications

Ecomesol 1% cream: 100 g of cream contain:

• Active ingredient: Econazole nitrate 1.00 g
• Excipients: polyglycolic acid ester of fatty acids, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, deionized water.
• Therapeutic indications: Skin mycoses caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds, also accompanied by infections caused by gram-positive bacteria.

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children.
In women who are confirmed or suspected to be pregnant, Ecomesol should be administered only in case of actual need under the direct supervision of a doctor.

Contraindications

Known individual hypersensitivity to the drug.

Side effects

Ecomesol is well tolerated at the indicated therapeutic doses, however in particularly sensitive individuals it may cause skin redness, burning and, in some cases, increased itching.
Furthermore, use of the product, especially if prolonged, may cause skin irritation. give rise to sensitization phenomena.
In case of hypersensitivity reactions, treatment must be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted; similar action should be taken in the event of the development of non-susceptible microorganisms.

Overdose

Given the available pharmaceutical forms, intended for topical or vaginal application, cases of acute overdose by ingestion are extremely unlikely and have never been reported to date.
In case of accidental ingestion, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may occur, requiring symptomatic treatment.
