Indications

The Alvita Early Pregnancy Test is a rapid lateral flow immunoassay that can detect the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine early and aid in the early diagnosis of pregnancy. It provides fast and accurate results up to 5 days before menstruation.

The test provides a positive or negative result in just three minutes and is at least 99% accurate the day before an expected menstrual period, giving users confidence in the result. This test can be used by placing the test stick in the urine stream or by collecting urine in a container. The test detects hCG in urine at a minimum concentration of 15 mIU/ml.

Directions for use and Dosage

To be used in a room with a temperature between 15° and 30°C.
Remove the test from its packaging and hold it by the handle, then remove the cap, without throwing it away. At this point you can proceed in two ways:

• urinate into a clean, dry glass container, then place the test upright in the container, immersing only the absorbent tip in the urine, for at least 10 seconds;
• or hold the test by the handle, with the absorbent tip facing down, directly in the urine stream for at least 2-3 seconds until the tip becomes completely wet. Do not let urine come into contact with the result window.

After removing the test from the urine, immediately cover the absorbent tip with the cap, then place the test on a flat surface with the result window facing up and begin time keeping. When the test begins processing the result, a reddish-purple line will form in the control region, indicating that the test is working.
Some positive results may be seen after as early as one minute, depending on the hCG concentration, but in any case, it is recommended to wait for 3 minutes. Read the result before 15 minutes. After this time, any result shown by the test is no longer reliable, so discard the test. If no colored line appears in the control region within 5 minutes, the test has not worked properly.

Warnings

For in vitro diagnostic use only. For external use only. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Do not ingest the moisture-absorbing sachet contained in the package. Do not reuse the same test. Open the foil pouch only when you are ready to perform the test. Do not use the test if the pouch is opened or damaged. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the foil pouch. Do not freeze. Read the instructions carefully before use. Store between 4° and 30°C.
