Rhizogib Orthosis for Rizoarthrosis Dr Gibaud Ortho Right 2 is a Class I medical device designed to stabilize the trapeziometacarpal joint and relieve pain from osteoarthritis.
Indications
Class I medical device.
Orthosis for stabilizing the trapezium-metacarpal joint in the functional position of the thumb, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the prehensility of the hand. Provides thumb stabilization, pain relief, and functional improvement in cases of carpometacarpal osteoarthritis.
Rigid radial splint for relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand.
Comfortable padded lining.
Elastic wrist band and thumb tab with Hook and loop closure.
Components: Elastane, polyamide, polyester, silicone, TPE-S. Splint: steel.
Directions for use and dosage
Insert your hand into the orthosis so that the splint is aligned with the thumb and the last phalanx is free. Tighten the hook-and-loop closure on your wrist for a firm yet comfortable fit. Pull the hook-and-loop tab around your thumb, wrapping it between your thumb and forefinger from the dorsal side to the palmar side. Then secure the tab through the Velcro closure.

Washing instructions
- Hand wash in warm water with soap or detergent Neutral, rinse well, wring out gently, and let dry flat.
- Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, or dry clean.

When adjusting the straps, tighten them so that they are stable but comfortable.
The brace should not be used if relative or absolute immobilization or surgery is required.
