The Manugib De Quervain Dr. Gibaud Ortho Orthosis is a medical device designed to stabilize the wrist and thumb in a functional position, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the prehensile ability of the hand.

Indications

Orthosis for stabilizing the wrist and thumb in a functional position, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the prehensile ability of the hand. Rigid and moldable palmar splint for relative immobilization of the wrist and moldable radial splint for relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand. Comfortable padded lining. Cushion for the comfort of the palm of the hand. Elastic wrist band and thumb tab with hook-and-loop closure.

The medical device limits the movement of the wrist and thumb.

Directions for use and dosage

Place your hand in the orthosis so that the palmar splint is aligned with the forearm, the radial splint is aligned with the thumb, and the last knuckle is free. Tighten the Hook-and-loop closure on your wrist for firm yet comfortable support. Pull the Hook-and-loop closure tab around your thumb, passing it between your thumb and index finger from the dorsal to the palmar side. Then secure the tab using the Hook and Loop fastener.

The product should not be used in direct contact with broken skin. When adjusting the straps, tighten them so that they are stable but comfortable. The brace should not be used if relative or absolute immobilization or surgery is required.
