Dr Gibaud Ortho Wrist Thumb Orthosis is an orthosis designed for the functional stabilization of the wrist and thumb, while maintaining the mobility of the other fingers.

Indications

Orthosis for the stabilization of the wrist and thumb in a functional position, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the prehensility of the hand. Rigid and moldable palmar splint for the relative immobilization of the wrist and moldable radial splint for the relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand. Comfortable padded lining. Cushion for the comfort of the palm of the hand. Elastic wrist band and thumb tab with Velcro closure.

The medical device limits the movement of the wrist and thumb.

Directions for use and dosage

Place your hand in the orthosis so that the palmar splint is aligned with the forearm, the radial splint is aligned with the thumb, and the last knuckle is free. Tighten the Velcro closure on the wrist to provide firm but comfortable support. Pull the Velcro closure tab around your thumb, passing it between the thumb and index finger from the dorsal to the palmar side. Then secure the tab using the Velcro fastener.
