Manugib Trauma Orthosis Wrist Thumb Dr Gibaud Ortho Right is a Class I medical device for the functional stabilization of the wrist and thumb.
Indications
Class I medical device.
Orthosis for stabilizing the wrist and thumb in a functional position, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and the prehensility of the hand.
Rigid and moldable palmar splint for relative immobilization of the wrist and rigid and moldable radial splint for relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand.
Comfortable padded lining. Cushion for the comfort of the palm of the hand. Three hook-and-loop closure straps at the forearm, wrist, and hand. Thumb tab with hook-and-loop closure.
Components:
- Cotton, elastane, polyamide, polyester, polyurethane.
- Splinth: aluminum.
Directions for use and dosage
Place your hand in the orthosis so that the palmar splint is aligned with the forearm, the radial splint is aligned with the thumb, and the last knuckle is free. Tighten the hook-and-loop closures on the forearm, wrist, and hand to achieve firm yet comfortable support. Pull the hook-and-loop closure tab around your thumb, passing it between the thumb and index finger from the dorsal to the palmar side. Then secure the tab using the Velcro fastener.
