The Dr Gibaud Ortho Manugib De Quervain Wrist-Thumb Orthosis is a medical device designed to stabilize the wrist and thumb, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and prehensile function.

Indications

Orthosis for stabilizing the wrist and thumb in a functional position, maintaining the mobility of the other fingers and prehensile function. Rigid and moldable palmar splint for relative immobilization of the wrist and moldable radial splint for relative immobilization of the first ray of the hand. Comfortable padded lining. Pad for the comfort of the palm of the hand. Elastic wrist band and thumb tab with Velcro closure.

The medical device limits the movement of the wrist and thumb.

Directions for use and dosage

Place your hand in the orthosis so that the palmar splint is aligned with the forearm, the radial splint is aligned with the thumb, and the last knuckle is free. Tighten the Velcro closure on the wrist to provide firm but comfortable support. Pull the Velcro closure tab around your thumb, passing between the thumb and index finger from the dorsal to the palmar side. Then secure the tab through the Velcro closure.
