Product Description

The Gibaud Ortho Finger Splint is a medical device designed for the immobilization and effective treatment of long finger injuries.

Indications

Long finger injuries that may benefit from immobilization, such as:

• sprains
• strains
• dislocations
• compound fractures

Directions for use

Open the four straps. Place the injured finger on the splint along with the longest adjacent finger.
Close the strap at the fingertips and wrist. Tighten the intermediate straps, one around the fingers and the other around the hand.
These two straps can be repositioned along the Velcro fasteners. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, it is recommended to shape the splint to achieve 60-70° flexion of the metacarpophalangeal joint, 10-20° of the proximal interphalangeal joint, and extension of the distal interphalangeal joint.

Do not prolong use of the product without consulting your doctor.
The product is designed for use by a single person; do not use it on multiple people. The product should not be used in direct contact with damaged skin. When adjusting the straps, tighten them so that they are stable but comfortable. In case of serious accident following use of the product, contact the manufacturer and the local healthcare professional.
And It is advisable to have the product fitted by a qualified professional for the first time and perform subsequent fittings independently using the same methods.

Contraindications

The brace should not be used if relative or absolute immobilization, or surgery is required.

Storage

Store in a dry place away from excessive heat and light. Hand wash in warm water with mild soap or detergent, rinse well, wring out gently, and lay flat to dry.
Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, or dry clean.
