Indications

The Double Action Patch by Cerox is indicated in cases of muscle, rheumatic and joint pain, sports injuries and bruises and can protect against rheumatic and muscle pain and relieve painful symptoms caused by trauma. Menthol has a refreshing and decongestant action. VBE provides relief by allowing the correct alternation between hot and cold sensations. Wintergreen oil is a substance known for its soothing properties.

Details

Beneficial effects of cold:

• Slows blood flow (vasoconstriction) and reduces edema (swelling) caused by trauma;
• Slows the speed of pain conduction at the peripheral nerves level;
• Limits the extension of the trauma.

When to treat with cold: trauma and injuries (falls/sprains/sprains that can cause redness and swelling).

Beneficial effects of heat:

• Increases blood flow to the affected area, relaxing it;
• Increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues;
• Analgesic and decontracting effect on the parts of the body affected by trauma.

When to treat with heat: muscle tension (caused by contractures, stiffening of the muscles that lead to acute and intense pain).

Multi-layer hydrogel technology:

• 1 layer of hydrogel with a high water content to ensure prolonged availability of the active substances and their maximum effectiveness.
• 1 layer of non-woven fabric for maximum flexibility and adhesion to the skin and for gentle removal.

Composition

VBE (Vanillyl Butyl Ether), Menthol, Wintergreen Oil (Gautltheria Oil), Gelatin, Povidone K90, Sorbitol Solution 70%, Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol, Methylparahydroxybenzoate, Propylparahydroxybenzoate, Sodium Edetate (EDTA), Tartaric Acid, Sodium Carmellose (CMC), Aluminum Glycinate, 1,3 Butylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Sodium Polyacrylate, Purified Water.

Directions for use and Dosage

Use as needed and keep the patch on the area to be treated until the beneficial sensation ends. The duration of the cold/hot effect is subjective and in any case wears off within a few hours.

• Remove the patch from the packaging and remove the protective film.
• Apply the patch to the painful area, possibly cutting it to the appropriate shape and size. On parts of the body where application may be more difficult (such as the knee, elbow, ankle, and wrist), the patch can be applied with a damp cloth. It can be further secured to the surface to be treated with the aid of an elastic net.
• Remove the patch by gently lifting one edge and pulling.

Warnings

Do not use more than one patch on the area of ​​the body to be treated for each application. Do not use if the packaging is damaged. Do not use on damaged skin, regardless of the type of injury. It should not be worn while bathing or showering. Do not apply to the eyes and their surrounding areas and/or on mucous membranes. Do not use the product at the same time as other topical treatments that may be applied to the area to be treated. If in doubt about its use, consult your doctor. For external use only. Do not ingest. The patches contained in the package are single-use and cannot be reused. Once used, dispose of the product following the normal rules for separate urban waste disposal. Contraindications

It should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more of the components. The patch contains salicylic acid derivatives.

Interaction with other medicinal products

There are no known interactions between the components of Cerox Active Double Action Patch and other medicinal products.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There is no link between the use of Cerox Active Double Action Patch and the occurrence of adverse events during pregnancy or possible birth defects. However, no studies have specifically investigated this aspect, therefore the use of Cerox Active Double Action Patch is not recommended during pregnancy unless strictly necessary.
