Mouthwash 0.25%

Symptomatic treatment of irritative-inflammatory conditions also associated with pain in the oropharyngeal cavity (e.g. gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), also as a result of conservative or extractive dental therapy.

Contraindications/Side effects

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.

Dosage

Mouthwash: 2-3 rinses or gargles a day with 10 ml (1 tablespoon) of mouthwash pure or diluted in a little water. Oral mucosa spray: 2 sprays 2-3 times a day directed directly at the affected area. Each spray delivers 0.2 ml of solution, equivalent to 0.446 mg of active ingredient.

Warnings

Use of topical medications, especially if prolonged, may cause sensitization phenomena. In this case, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted. The drug should not be swallowed; if swallowed, it could cause heartburn, but there is no foreseeable risk of intoxication, as the quantity of naproxen contained in the medicine is much lower than the dosage recommended for oral treatment. Contains parahydroxybenzoates which may cause allergic reactions (even delayed).

Interactions

No negative interactions have been observed with other drugs commonly used in the relevant therapy.

Side effects

No side effects due to the use of the medicine have been reported.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no contraindications to the use of cetyltrimethylammonium naproxenate during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
