Dilagent is A medical device, class I, a soft silicone anal dilator that provides effective training to the anorectal tract muscles for functional recovery and the treatment of conditions such as fissures, hemorrhoids, painful spasms, and anism.

CE medical device, class I. Dilagent provides effective and targeted training to the anorectal tract muscles, promoting functional recovery.

Soft silicone anal dilator indicated for the treatment of conditions of the anorectal tract caused by sphincter hypertonicity such as fissures, Hemorrhoids and painful spasms after surgical treatments on the anorectal tract. It is also effectively used for post-surgical stenosis of the anal canal.Anal fissures and all painful conditions of the anus (symptomatic hemorrhoids with hypertonicity, hemorrhoidal thrombosis, post-surgical pain, and anal spasms) are usually associated with hypertonicity of the internal anal sphincter. The "mushroom" shape of the probe, allows the dilator to be anchored above the puborectalis muscle, releasing heat not only to the internal sphincter but also to the puborectalis muscle and the distal rectal muscles. This important function of the Dilagent determines muscle relaxation, with a curative effect in the above-mentioned pathological conditions.

Furthermore, puborectalis muscle contracture (puborectalis sling) is considered one of the main mechanisms for maintaining fecal continence. During defecation, the relaxation of the anal sphincters and the puborectalis muscle allows the anal-anal canal-rectum tract to straighten, thus facilitating evacuation. If, on the contrary, during defecation, there is a paradoxical contraction of the puborectalis muscle, the anorectal angle becomes more acute due to greater tension in the muscle itself, thus preventing evacuation. Emptying of the rectal ampulla (anismus).

The Dilagent probe promotes relaxation of the puborectalis muscle thanks to the direct transmission of heat, thus proving effective in the treatment of anismus.

Directions for use and Dosage

Before treatment, it is advisable to take a sip bath with hot water and Sapigen K for 5/8 minutes to relax the perianal muscles. Once the air contained in the probe has been removed using the supplied syringe, lubricate the dilator generously with Dilatan Cream and gently insert it into the anus until the handle comes into contact with the anal margin. For the first 2 or 3 days, inject 10/20 ml of warm water into the probe (40/45°). As the therapy progresses, increase the amount of warm water up to a maximum of 50 ml. Larger quantities could cause a continuous and annoying urge to defecate. The length of the tubing allows you to easily perform these maneuvers independently.

The treatment must be continued for 3-4 weeks.

Storage

After each use, wash the tube with water and neutral soap. Dry with a soft cloth before storing.
